My surfer of the day.

Indialantic beach did not disappoint today as I sat in my “2nd living room” with my best friend. The sets were rollin’ but where were the surfers? The able bodied, strong swimming surfers to delight in this great surf spot? As people passed by I asked them, “Do you surf? Today is a great day to learn!” Soon a young man hopped right out of his business attire and into a wetsuit, armed with his board, no time to chat!

Another couple walked by and I realized by her shirt that now two nurses were supervising our surfer, however wave after wave he proved unnecessary.  Strong strokes into a northerly flow, taking time to breathe between sets. I was so proud to watch how brave he was amidst the vast horizon…without any surfing buddies today.

When I began this blog, I wanted to document things unique to our area as a newcomer would appreciate maybe some type of heads up on certain things. Here is your heads up for today: Never have I ever had a bad day on the beach appreciating the nature endowed to us. Ocean always has something new to show us, or new people to meet. Offering a smile to a tired mom as she drags her littles back to the car kicking and screaming is part of beach going. Today was a pleasure and to have the privilege to share with others is my only intent. 🤙🏽
